She's reported on sports at several of the biggest publications around the world. She spent almost a decade covering the sport for The Washington Post, including tennis, football and basketball. Nichols was awarded two Emmy Awards during her nine-year stint at ESPN as well as being featured on many of the network's most popular shows like NFL Countdown or SportsCenter, was transferred to ESPN following the year 2004. She was also an integral part of ESPN's Monday Night Football broadcasts as an on-line reporter. The next step was to CNN, and then Turner Sports. Unguarded The show - Rachel Nichols - was her debut self-titled series, and aired each week for a week on CNN International. It had over one billion viewers throughout the globe. During this time Nichols was a reporter for TNT's NBA broadcasts, including the regular season, playoffs and All-Star broadcast teams. Also, she reported for TBS reporting on golf and baseball broadcasts and Final Four broadcasts on CBS. It was only the 2nd time in the company's 42 years that women were selected from more than 200 nominations.
