She's reported on sports at several of the biggest publications around the world. She spent almost a decade covering the sport for The Washington Post, including tennis, football and basketball. Nichols was awarded two Emmy Awards during her nine-year stint at ESPN as well as being featured on many of the network's most popular shows like NFL Countdown or SportsCenter, was transferred to ESPN following the year 2004. It was only the 2nd time in the company's 42 years that women were selected from more than 200 nominations.
